Having missed two games for the People's Elephants, the captain has been passed fit for their Sunday's encounter with the Ikon Allah Boys

Enyimba coach Gbenga Ogunbote has declared captain Mfon Udoh fit for Sunday's clash with Niger Tornadoes following his full recovery from injury.

Udoh had missed the People's Elephants' 4-0 win against El Kanemi Warriors and a 1-0 loss at Akwa United due to a minor injury and he is likely to lead them against Abubakar Bala's men.

Ogunbote said his side habours no thought of revenge after 1-0 first leg loss to the Ikon Allah Boys, but insists winning is non-negotiable.

“First and foremost, I want to thank them [fans] for their support so far,” Ogunbote told media.

“I want to enjoin them to come out en masse to support the team to victory. I want them to still have confidence, and believe in the team; that the team will deliver.

“At this point in time, we are not even talking of revenge. What we are just trying to do is to ensure that we win all our home games, and keep gathering points so we can finish in an appreciable position.

“I think we are condemned to win, by the look of things. So, winning is non-negotiable, by God’s grace.

“It (Mfon’s return) is a plus for the team, no doubt. But that doesn’t mean that, without him, the team won’t play. We should not forget the fact that he’s the leader of the team, so his presence is always a boost to the team.”

Enyimba have 41 points from 27 games in seventh position, one point ahead of eight-placed visitors, Niger Tornadoes.
