Bobby Motaung labels new Kaizer Chiefs signings as Steve Komphela’s

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung says their three new signings were done with the consultation of their head coach Steve Komphela, who approved them all.

“All the signings were done in consultation with coach Steve Komphela and his technical team. Our plan is to have a strong team that will compete fiercely in the second half of the season and beyond,” Motaung told the club’s website.

The Amakhosi have made three signings in Leonardo Castro, Kabelo Mahlasela and Siphelele Ntshangase.

Castro joins from Mamelodi Sundowns, while the other two joins from Bloemfontein Celtic and Baroka FC respectively.

Motaung believes they will bring a positive impact on the team.

“We welcome the player [Ntshangase] to Naturena. We are positive that the three acquisitions we’ve made thus far will make our supporters happy.

“We have been working tirelessly for the past few weeks to negotiate and finalise these new deals,” Motaung said.

Ntshangase, who will don jersey number 5, says joining the club is a dream come true and is delighted to be at the club.

“I am delighted to be here. It has always been my dream to don the gold and black jersey and I’m excited that the dream has come to fruition,” Ntshangase said.

They will resume their 2017/18 campaign away to SuperSport United, who got the better of them in the first round clash with a 2-1 beating at the FNB Stadium.
