The Sky Blues have had the wood over their crosstown rivals but a potent Wanderers attack could pose problems

The A-League's pinnacle regular season occasion has arrived - the Sydney derby - and it promises to be a magnificent event at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.

Sydney FC have a stronger record in the fixture overall than Western Sydney Wanderers - winning seven of the 15 contests - but the red-and-black were the only team to defeat the Sky Blues last season, with a 1-0 victory at ANZ Stadium in February.

This campaign, Graham Arnold's men have started off with two consecutive wins against Melbourne Victory and Wellington Phoenix, but haven't looked at their best, conceding twice at home against the Kiwis last weekend.

The Wanderers, who are still under the tutelage of caretaker Hayden Foxe after Tony Popovic's departure, have looked strong in attack so far, with star striker Oriol Riera looking particularly menacing in attack.

Wanderers to win or draw at $2.00

Wanderers draw no bet at $3.00

With the Sky Blues strong favourites to win the match at $1.83 based on their early ladder position, there is definite value in getting on the Wanderers in a variety of different markets.

While taking the Wanderers at $4.20 to win might be a bit of a stretch, you can find value on them to win or draw at $2.00 and draw no bet at $3.00.
