Betting Tips for Today: Southampton set for more away day woe against Wolves

Few teams have been promoted to the Premier League with higher expectations than Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Having won the Championship in impressive fashion, the West Midlands outfit have adapted to life in the top-flight well.

They host Southampton this weekend looking for a third win of the campaign and can be backed at 3/4 (1.75) with 888Sport to come out on top.

Wolves' last league outing ended in a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford and the same firm are 13/5 (3.60) about another stalemate here.

Southampton lost 3-0 at Anfield last weekend and while that result is perfectly understandable, Mark Hughes' side have yet to convince this term. Saints are 21/5 (5.20) to leave Molineux with three points.

Under 2.5 goals has paid out in five of the six league games involving Wolves this season and is just 3/4 (1.75) to do so again.

That may look a solid selection but given Southampton have conceded at least twice in four of their last five league matches.

The newly promoted team are packed with talent and look well capable of getting the better of a side whose only victory this season came on the road to a Crystal Palace team missing their best player in Wilfried Zaha.

Whilst the hosts may not have been able to convert their dominance on the pitch into goals as often as they'd have liked, the goal count should continue to rise if they can keep creating high quality chances.

There will be few better chances this Premier League season for that to be the case than when hosting a team which such a porous defence and at 3/4 (1.75) Wolves look a solid bet to continue their impressive recent run with a victory.
