The semi-finals of this season's Coppa Italia have thrown up two terrific looking ties, with Wednesday's Rome derby preceeded by Juventus hosting Napoli on Tuesday evening.
Both Juve and Napoli were in Serie A action at the weekend with the Partenopi's 2-0 home defeat by Atalanta, coupled with Juventus' 2-0 home win over Empoli realistically ending any slim hopes that the Naples outfit may have had of winning the title.
Maurizio Sarri's men are now 12 points behind the defending champions, and with Napoli in a tough position after their Champions League first leg defeat to Real Madrid, the Coppa remains their only realistic chance of silverware this season.
Juve for their part are in imperious form and Max Allegri's men have won nine consecutive matches in all competitions during which time they have only conceded two goals. With that in mind they are naturally clear favourites with bet365 at 3/4 (1.75) to secure a first leg advantage. Napoli for their part are offered at 15/4 (4.75) while the draw can be backed at 5/2 (3.50) but the smart money should be backing a home win in some capacity.
The hosts' record at the Juventus Stadium is extraordinary with the side unbeaten in their own ground since August 2015. Furthermore, the Turin giants have won each of their last five home matches against their rivals from the south of the country. In the league, Napoli have only faced two of the current Serie A top six away from home this term and have lost both of those games (at Juventus and Atalanta).
That is not to say that this tie will be over after the first leg, and expect the game to be keenly contested as the previous meeting between these two sides was back in October when Juve won 2-1 with all three goals coming in the last 40 minutes of the game.
To that end, the price of 5/2 (3.50) for the hosts to win by a single goal should be of interst to punters looking for a value bet with this bet paying out in each of the last two meetings between these sides at the Juventus Stadium.
