‘Best birthday in heaven’ – Adepoju in emotional tribute to Stephen Keshi

The LaLIga Nigeria chief has posted a heartfelt tribute on Twitter following to mark the fallen legend’s posthumous birthday on Tuesday

Mutiu Adepoju has posted an emotional tribute to Stephen Keshi, who passed away in June 2016.

The football fraternity celebrated the posthumous birthday of the fallen legend who made 64 international appearances for the Super Eagles and led the country to their third Africa Cup of Nations triumph in South Africa.

‘The Headmaster’ struck up an incredible bond with Keshi, having represented Nigeria at the 1992 and 1994 Africa Cup of Nations plus the 1994 Fifa World Cup.

The LaLiga ambassador cherished every moment of his life with ‘the Big Boss’ while alive posted on Twitter.

“It hurts me to think that you are no longer with us, skippo,” Adepoju wrote on Tuesday.

“Although I cannot help but smile with tears in my eyes thinking of how we have cherished each and every moments of our lives together while you are still alive.

“We miss you Keshi, best birthday in heaven.”
