Bertrand Traore on target in Lyon's win vs. Nantes

The 22-year-old scored in the second half as Les Gones extended their unbeaten run to six at Groupama Stadium

Bertrand Traore was on the scoresheet in Lyon’s 2-0 victory over Nantes in Saturday’s French Ligue 1 encounter.

On the back of a 5-2 thrashing of Dijon, Bruno Genesio’s men cruised to yet another comfortable victory against the Canaries to extend their winning run to six games.

Memphis Depay got the curtain raiser in the 39th minute after benefitting from Nabil Fekir’s assist.

Traore, in the 68th minute, wrapped the victory up to take his goal tally to 11 in 28 league games.

With 15 minutes left, the Burkina Faso international made way for Mariano Diaz while Nigeria defender Chidozie Awaziem witnessed the entire game on Nantes' bench.

The victory powered them to the second spot in the table behind leaders Paris Saint Germain after amassing 72 points in 35 matches.

Traore will be looking to continue the impressive display when Lyon try Troyes for size in their next league game on May 6.
