Bandari head coach Bernard Mwalala has tipped Gor Mahia to retain the Kenyan Premier League title.

Mwalala, the only coach to have picked maximum points against K’Ogalo thus far, this season, says that Dylan Kerr can as well seal his second KPL title with a win on Friday.

Gor Mahia are set to take on Posta Rangers in Kisumu on Friday and Mwalala is convinced that the league defending champions might seal a record 17th title, if they manage to complete a double over Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo side.

"Mathematically speaking, I think Sofapaka, Ulinzi Stars, AFC Leopards and us (Bandari) have a chance to close in on Gor Mahia.

“But realistically, it's not going  to be easy. I think if they beat Posta on Friday it will be done and dusted," Mwalala said as he prepares to take on Tusker.

Bandari are second on the log and another victory against the Brewers will see them consolidate their position, but that match could be just a formality should Rangers succumb to Gor Mahia.

Gor Mahia have 56 points and a win against Rangers will see them open 14 point gap at the summit.
