Atletico Madrid v Villarreal Betting: Yellow Submarine to hold hosts to another draw

Atletico Madrid host an in-form Villarreal on Saturday evening as Los Rojiblancos aim to try and reignite their campaign.

Diego Simeone's men have drawn four of their last five matches in all competitions and Wednesday evening saw them held 1-1 at Elche in the Copa Del Rey, whilst their last match in La Liga brought a 1-0 win at Celta Vigo but their peformance was not overly convincing.

Their opponents at the Wanda Metropolitano are a Villarreal side who have recorded three consecutive wins following the appointment of Javi Calleja after Fran Escriba was fired.

Calleja's arrival at the helm has coincided with a brilliant run of form for striker Cedric Bakambu, who has claimed seven goals during those three wins and only Lionel Messi has scored more times in La Liga this season than the Congolese striker; continuing that scoring form away to Atletico Madrid will, of course, be a real test, and dabblebet offer Villarreal at 11/2 (6.50) for the win.

The Yellow Submarine, however, are the only side apart from Real Madrid and Barcelona to have beaten Atleti in their own stadium in La Liga in the last four and half years, recording 1-0 wins in December 2014 and April of this year.

Nevertheless the hosts are clear favourites at 8/15 (1.53) while the draw is offered at 3/1 (4.00). dabblebet customers can watch and bet on this fixture via desktop, mobile and tablet. Your account must be funded or active in order to see the action live.

Given how many draws Atleti have been involved in this season (seven in 13 competitive fixtures), backing another stalemate could appeal, as well considering that Villarreal drew at the Bernabeu last season and away to Sevilla, while they claimed a late victory in their final ever game at the Estadio Vicente Calderon.

The price for another draw is attractive for a value bet, while for even higher odds the price of 7/1 (8.00) for a 0-0 or 13/2 (7.50) for a 1-1 full time scoreline could also appeal.

In the goalscorers market, Bakambu is priced at 11/4 (3.75) to continue his excellent run of finding the back of the net, while Antoine Griezmann - who has netted in three of Atleti's four competitive home matches this season - is offered at 4/5 (1.80).
