Miroslav Soukup's men are set to feature in four friendlies before the Asian Cup kicks-off in January 2019. They are set to take on the Philippines on September 6, followed by a game against China four days later. Then, they will lock horns against Syria on October 11 and then play a friendly against Palestine on October 16.

They already started their preparations under the tutelage of assistant coach Khaled Taj at the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) facility in Riffa.

Meanwhile, Bahrain's U-23 team will also take part in the Alpine Cup 2018 in Myanmar where they will lock horns against Thailand, South Korea and Myanmar.
