New signing Nickson Omondi scored on his debut as Sharks run riot against the Djibouti side and help put one leg in next round

Djibouti side Arta Solar's head coach Musa Mawa says his team might pull a shocker in the return leg of the Caf Confederation Cup against Kariobangi Sharks.

The Kenyan representatives put in an excellent display on Tuesday at Kasarani, scoring six and conceding one against their opponents. Mawa says the William Muluya led side was excellent and deserved to walk away with maximum points.

“We could not match them at all, they were better technically and caught us on the flanks. They played good football and deserved to win, that I must admit. Their strikers made it hard for my defenders; we really struggled in the entire match and they took full advantage of the situation.

“In football anything can happen, they will be playing in a different weather and pitch meaning the game will be different as well. We will give our best,” Mawa told Goal.com.

Arta will need a 5-0 win to progress to the next round of the competition.

Sharks will meet Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko if they contain Arta Solar in the return leg. Kotoko sailed to the first round without breaking a sweat after their Cameroonian opponent submitted their papers late.
