Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies have completed the signing of Wafa captain Martin Antwi until end of the season as a free agent, the club have confirmed.
The 20-year-old has been with Wafa since he was 14 and has risen through the ranks to become their captain, guiding them back to the premier league last season.
A two-week trial at Saudi Arabian side Al Wahda proved futile, prompting his return to Ghana where he struggled to break into the first team of Wafa under newly appointed manager Klaus Rasmussen.
“Inter Allies FC is delighted to announce that attacking midfielder Martin Antwi has joined the club on a free transfer on a short term deal.
“The former West African Football Academy skipper for the last two seasons joins the ‘Eleven Is To One’ until June, 2017," a club statement read.
Antwi expressed his delight after completing the move, promising to give out his best in the new season.
“I’m excited to be here. I will try my best to help the team and I just can’t wait to get involved," he said.
“The players have embraced me so well and I feel I’m home already, I hope we can achieve success together,” he added.
