Alhaji Gero on target in Ostersunds FK home win

The Nigerian was on the scorers' sheet as his Swedish topflight outfit overcame Peter Swardh's side in a Swedish topflight clash on Saturday evening

Alhaji Gero scored his second league goal of the season for Ostersunds as they secured a 2-1 victory over Kalmar at the Jämtkraft Arena.

Following their goalless home draw against Sirius, the Nigerian opened the scoring for the home side five minutes against Peter Swardh's side before the half-time break.

Brwa Nouri doubled the lead for Graham Potter's side from the spot before Sipiao Romanrinho pulled one back for the visitors but failed to deny the hosts maximum points.

The former Nigeria U20 star has now scored three goals in 14 appearances in all competitions this season.

The home win moves Ostersunds to sixth on the log with 15 points from 10 games and they will travel to face third-placed Hacken on Monday, May 29.
