Akpom pleased with Brighton & Hove Albion’s Premier League promotion

Brighton and Hoves
The forward endured a season plagued with injuries, and is delighted to see the Seagulls grab an English topflight slot

Chuba Akpom is delighted to see Brighton and Hove Albion secure a place in the English Premier League next season.

Chris Hughton’s men forced Aston Villa to a 1-1 draw at Villa Park on Sunday to pick an automatic ticket alongside Newcastle United.

21-year-old Akpom who was loaned from Arsenal featured just 10 times for the Seagulls with no goals – no thanks to injury that kept him in and out of Hughton’s squad.

And he is happy that the Falmer Stadium lords will be featuring in the English topflight after 34 years.

''Been a tough season with injuries and other setbacks but glad to have gained another promotion , congrats to everyone at @OfficialBHAFC,'' Akpom tweeted.
