The trio were instrumental as the Knights continued their push to reach Europe's second tier club competition with a win on Wednesday

Alma Wakili, Isaac Dorley and Lajo Traore were all in action for Trakai as they were 2-1 victors over Shkendija in their Uefa Europa League third round qualifying first leg tie at the LFF Stadium.

Top scorer Maksim Maksimov continued his red-hot form netting the opener for the hosts inside the first minute. But Stenho Junior’s strike in the 39th minute for the visitors ensured the teams entered the half time interval tied.

Seven minutes after the interval, the Lithuania A Lyga side sealed another victory thanks to Maksimov who grabbed his brace - with the goal marking his seventh for the qualifying campaign in just five appearances.

While Liberian winger, Dorley played the entire duration of the tie, Wakili was replaced by Ivorian striker, Traore in the 84th minute as the Vilnius side pressed for another goal to increase their chances of getting a playoff ticket ahead of the reverse fixture.

The Macedonian outfit who finished the tie with nine men will host Oleg Vasilenko’s side at the Ecolog Arena next week.
