AFC Leopards warms up for Caf match with a resounding victory

AFC Leopards bounced from a disappointing 1-1 draw on Saturday to register a resounding 4-2 win over visiting Al Hilal on Sunday.

Ingwe covered over 220 Kilometers bus trip from Nakuru to Machakos, just a few hours after they were held to a draw by Posta Rangers in the opening league match at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru to honour the fixture in Machakos.

The long trip, however, paid off and the few fans that turned up for the match were treated to some beautiful football and an emotionally rewarding result after Robert Matano paraded a relatively stronger side than the one that dropped two points against Posta.

Victor Majid, Ezekiel Odera, Isaac Oduro and Jaffery Odeny all found their names on the scoresheet against the Sudanese giants.

Al Hilal scored through Da Silva and Calipher al-Mustadhir. Both teams used the build-up match to prepare for next weekend’s Caf assignments.

Leopards will play host to Madagascar’s Fosa Junior in the first round of Caf Confederation Cup at Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday.

The Sudanese side, on the other hand, will host Liberian outfit LISCR in the Caf Champions League at the 45, 000 sitter Al-Hilal Stadium on Friday.
