AFC Leopards: Kakamega Homeboyz should be charged for damages

Kakamega County wrote a letter to the Kenyan Premier League asking the body to take action against AFC Leopards, after their fans destroyed properties against Kakamega Homeboyz.

Trouble started when the officials took time to overrule Whyvonne Isuza's goal that had been scored from an offside position.

Ingwe Secretary General Oscar Igaida has told Goal that his team was not in charge of the game, and anything communicated to the KPL by the county should be addressed to the host team.

“We do not advocate hooliganism or any violent acts on or off the pitch, it gives the game a bad taste, but again the rules must evenly apply to all teams; we were not the home team, Homeboyz was and anything concerning security was to be organized by them.

“As the home team, it should cater for any damages caused because it means that it failed to ensure there is enough security in the stadium.”

The Kakamega County is demanding Sh50, 000 from AFC Leopards to repair damaged property.
