AFC Leopards fate now lies with IDCC as KPL prepares to crack the whip

AFC Leopards are now at the mercy of KPL Independent Disciplinary and Appeals Committee as they wait with bated breath to know their fate following the unruly act of hooliganism on Sunday.

AFC Leopards fans were caught on tape ripping off stadium seats during the Mashemeji Derby after Gor Mahia scored the second goal in a 2-0 victory at Kasarani.

KPL has vowed to severely punish Ingwe for the unruly behaviour of their fans. Among the actions that the league runners could take, include docking of points that may greatly have a significant impact on the former giants’ hope of a top-four finish.

“We have alerted IDDC on what transpired at Kasarani and any team that will be found guilty of the damages will definitely face disciplinary action, ranging from heavy fines, a ban and even docking of points,” KPL CEO Jack Oguda told Goal.
