AFC Leopards fans irked by ‘exorbitant’ gate price

Ingwe fans are now threatening to boycott club’s league match against Kariobangi Sharks at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru

AFC Leopards fans are now threatening to boycott club’s league match against Kariobangi Sharks due to what they have termed as exorbitant pricing at the gates.

Ingwe, who will take on Sharks on Saturday at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru, released their ticketing information with VIP section going for Sh500 while terraces fetching Sh300. But this did not go well with a section of fans, who took to the club's social media page to express their dissatisfaction with the charges.

“Be serious with your ticketing. You are playing poorly and charging us very high. Surely, (you) need us most at this trying times and then overcharge,” lamented Maurice Seka.

Willberforce Calif said: “There is no going to the match venue. NEC is biased. You cannot lower the gate collection (charges). Let me spend my time with my family.”

“Reduce gate charges because of (your) poor performance,” advises Omusambi Olembe.

“How much will they charge if they start winning games?”

“You have no performance to show yet you charge exorbitantly. What's up,” asked Dennis Mahinga.
