AFC Leopards coach told to win titles after masive signing

AFC Leopards coach Robert Matano will have no excuse for missing the 2018 Kenyan Premier League title, club chairman, Dan Mule has warned.

Mule said the office has gone the extra mile to meet their end of the bargain by bringing in the quality players requested by the coach and that Matano will have no reason to miss the trophy this coming season.

"The coach requested for quality players and I believe we have delivered that. Now it is up to him to give us the results we need, meaning trophies are what we want this season. The squad has an ability to take us back to the top where we believe we deserve to be.

AFC Leopards officially closed the transfer doors late week with former Gor Mahia man Collins Okoth and Ghanaian striker Erick Bekoe joining the Den.

The GOtv Shield Champions struggled badly in the domestic front last season, finishing a distant eighth in the league.

"We are no longer in the market, we have done our business and now we are just preparing for the new season that is just around the corner."

The 12-time league champions last won the domestic title way back in 1998.

Matano will kick title hunt against Gor Mahia in the Kenyan Premier League curtain raiser in a Super Cup clash on January 28.
