The Japanese coach has promised to work tirelessly in order to turn the Fire Club's fortunes around

Aduana Stars coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has admitted the challenge ahead of him after signing a one-year deal with the club.

He has less than a week to prepare for the Caf Confederation Cup home fixture against Congolese side Vita Club scheduled for Wednesday July 18.

The Ghanaian champions are without a win after two games and sit bottom of Group A, three points behind the visitors.

“I’ve arrived in Dormaa and started the first training with Aduana Stars yesterday. It was a difficult trip because of the very long flights and there is also extremely limited time left before our game in the Caf Confederation Cup,” Kenichi told reporters.

“Although, we have just one week for the game against Vita Club but the good thing is that I know this Aduana team very well.

“I have played against them twice previously so I have a fair idea how the team is made up. I can build on it before we face Vita.

“I would also like to respect works done by coach Yusuf Abubakar, the previous coach. Without him, the club wouldn’t be playing in the Caf competition,” he added.

Raja Casablanca will host Ivorian side Asec Mimosas in the other game in the group.
