Adi combined well with Valeri again in the 57th minute to slot home and give Caleb Porter's men a two-goal lead before Daniel Steres grabbed a consolation goal for LA with nine minutes left to play.

Portland Timbers managed just a defeat in six tone up games during the pre season training tour and will welcome Minnesota United FC to the Providence Park on Friday for their first fixture in the 2017 MLS season.
