Al Jazira come from a goal down away from home against current champions Al Ain to win 2-1.
Two very late goals stunned the home side keeping Al Jazira joint top of the league.
Swedish international Marcus Berg had opened the scoring for Al Ain in the first half with a nice finish.Al Ain were denied a second goal for what looked like an offside decision.
As the clock ran down neither team took any more of their cahnges until a free-kick was award in the 85th minute to Al Jazira.Brazilian Leonardo scored the free-kick beauitfully although Al Ain’s goalkeeper Khalid Essa’s positioning was questionable. Substitue Yaqoub Yousef then scored a long range effort neatly curling the ball around the helpless Essa on the 89th minute mark to put Al Jazira in front.
Al Ain had more of chances overall however the night belonged to Al Jazira as they celebrated at the full-time whistle in the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.
Al Jazira will host Al Ittihad Kalba as they look to continue their two game unbeaten run.
