Katsina United coach, Abdullahi Biffo is not happy with the way his players threw away a golden chance to notch their away point against Lobi Stars after they lost the tie 1-0 in Makurdi on Sunday due to loss of concentration.
The Chanji Boys put the Pride of Benue at bay for the most part of the encounter before they gave David Tyavkasse the chance to put the Solomon Ogbeide’s men in the lead for the only goal of the encounter.
But Biffo noted that the tie could have ended in a stalemate had his boys stayed fully concentrated throughout the match.
“This was a match we ought to have picked at least a point,” he told Goal.
“We played as if our minds depended on it in the first half and for the most part of the second half. The only blip was the momentary loss of concentration which handed them the only goal of the match.
“We will go back home with the emphasis on correcting the areas we have erred ahead of the next game with Heartland at home.
"We played well against Lobi and if I am asked, the gap between them and us is very small in terms of quality,” he pointed out.
The Chanji Boys are 14th in the league table with 14 points from 11 matches.
