Yaya Toure limps out of Ivory Coast's clash with Cameroon

The Manchester City star received treatment following a challenge from Stephane Mbia and soon limped from the field clutching his hamstring to be replaced by Cheick Doukoure
Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure limped out of Ivory Coast’s Afcon group decider against Cameroon on Wednesday evening.

Toure required treatment following a challenge from Stephane Mbia but the 31-year-old was visibly limping and clutching his hamstring as he left the pitch to be replaced by Cheick Doukoure in the 82nd minute.

Defeat for Ivory Coast would have raised the possibility of both Toure and Wilfried Bony returning in time to feature in City's Premier League crunch clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

But Herve Renard's men triumphed 1-0 courtesy of a Max Gradel strike in the 35th minute to reach the last eight of a tournament they are trying to win for the first time since 1992.
