Liverpool's goalkeeping woes continued as Simon Mignolet helped Jon Walters open the scoring for Stoke City on Tuesday, causing fans on Twitter to vent their anger online.
The Reds bounced back through strikes from Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino, but Liverpool supporters continued to complain that their goalkeeper should have done better for Stoke's opener.
Mignolet replaced Loris Karius after the German goalkeeper was dropped following a number of errors, winning back the starting position for Jurgen Klopp's side. However, fans believe that Mignolet could be even worse than Karius.
Hahahaha if you think Karius is bad have a look at that calamity from Simon Mignolet, utterly useless #LFCSTO— Eoin Kenneally (@eoink_lad99) December 27, 2016
The old Mignolet is back— Footy Humour (@FootyHumour) December 27, 2016
How is it nearly 2017 and we're still letting Mignolet and Lovren conspire to concede spawny goals?— Si (@PhantomGoal) December 27, 2016
Mignolet being Mignolet. Can be the best and worst player on the field all in the one game— DaveOCKOP (@DaveOCKOP) December 27, 2016
You could offer me Karius & Mignolet in goal together and I would still rather have Taibi. #LIVSTK— gent. (@gentpolloshka) December 27, 2016
When i see such people such as Mignolet, Karius, Fellaini, Mathieu, Danilo succeeded in life, I know there is still a hope for me.— Troll Football (@TrollFootball) December 27, 2016
Can't comprehend how awful Mignolet is, if Cech failed to save that I would be so furious. You can't win the title not saving those shots— chris weatherall (@chrissy1893) December 27, 2016
This latest blunder will surely give Klopp another selection headache.
