Republic of Ireland striker Kevin Doyle is a doubt for his side's next two World Cup qualifiers against Germany and the Faroe Islands after picking up an injury in training.

Doyle suffered a thigh injury while warming up with his club side Wolves, and manager Stale Solbakken believes the Irishman may not recover in time for the upcoming international games.

“He is definitely out of the Blackburn game,” Solbakken told reporters. "It looks now he will be out of the international games.”
