WATCH: PSV's Arias breaks glass after red card

PSV right-back Santiago Arias clearly felt hard done by after he was sent off in Saturday's crucial Eredivisie tie with Willem II.

With Ajax having beaten Cambuur to extend their lead at the top of the Dutch top flight, PSV were in need of three points to keep the pressure on their rivals in the title race.

The Eindhoven faithful must have grown concerned in the second-half when Colombia international Arias was dismissed with a second yellow card for a foul outside the box.

The 24-year-old was really not happy with the referee's decision and vented his frustrations when he walked down the tunnel and punched a window, immediately cracking the glass.

Arias admitted afterwards that it was his own fault, but PSV did not miss him too much as they went on to find the breakthrough and win the game 2-0, with Luuk de Jong insisting that the dismissal worked in their favour.

The defender's outburst sparked memories of Erik Pieters' meltdown in the tunnel for PSV in 2013, when the left-back returned after nine months out through injury only to be given a red card in his first game and subsequently putting his fist through a window and severely damaging his arm.
