Netherlands legend Marco van Basten has voiced his opinion that Germany coach Joachim Low has plenty of reasons to be worried about his defence ahead of Euro 2012.

Die Mannschaft conceded five goals in a friendly against Switzerland in May, and Van Basten is not impressed with the likes of Holger Badstuber, Per Mertesacker and Jerome Boateng, stating that Philipp Lahm is the only impressive member in the Germany defence.

"Low has a lot of problems in defence," Van Basten was quoted as saying by Kicker.

"Badstuber is not a centre-back in my opinion as he lacks personality, Mertesacker is not fully fit and has been unimpressive, while Boateng looks shaky, too.

"Lahm is the only constant factor remaining."

Germany start Euro 2012 with the Group B match against Portugal on June 9, before taking on Netherlands four days later, and Denmark on June 17.
