Morten Olsen calls up just 20 players to Denmark provisional Euro 2012 squad

The pre-selection list saw the Danes call up only one striker, while Anders Lindegaard remains a doubt for the tournament following his recent knee surgery
Denmark coach Morten Olsen will wait until the end of the Danish Superliga season on May 23 before completing his full squad for the European Championship.

Sunderland striker Nicklas Bendtner is currently the only out-and-out striker in Olsen's interim 20-man selection, but could be joined by Roda JC's Mads Junker and FC Groningen's Nicklas Pedersen by May 29 when Denmark must register its final selection with Uefa.

The chances of Manchester United's Anders Lindegaard making Euro 2012 remains up in the air, however, as the custodian races against time to recover from knee surgery to be fit to travel to Poland and Ukraine.

"We will look at Lindegaard when we have a chance and after that we'll make a decision," Olsen informed reporters at a press conference.

"However, we must be thorough and have respect for the other players, not bringing ones that are half-injured," he said.

Denmark begin their Euro 2012 quest against Netherlands on June 9.
