Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara has suggested that his brother Rafinha could decide to play for Brazil rather than wear the Spain jersey in the future.
Thiago recently made his debut for Spain's senior side, thus ending all speculation that he would turn out for Brazil instead.
Nevertheless, the gifted playmaker has now revealed that his brother is more likely to represent the South Americans rather than the World Cup winners.
"It's a very personal decision. We each have our opinion on this matter. We might be brothers, but we feel different about this," Thiago was quoted as saying by Sport.
"We have to respect his decision, regardless of whether he chooses Spain or Brazil.
"It is a difficult decision for the family, because they want us to represent Brazil. It was a logical decision for me though to choose Spain. I had made up my mind at the age of 16."
The 18-year-old Rafinha Alcantara has represented Spain at Under-19 level, but can still switch allegiances.
