Barcelona's Adriano is looking forward to the two-legged Spanish Supercopa tie against rivals Real Madrid and is confident that the Catalans will be ready when they first meet.
The Champions League holders started their pre-season with a disappointing draw against Hajduk Split and were also beaten by Manchester United, but Adriano is not worried about the results in friendly games.
"I am really looking forward to starting the season. When the last one ended, we knew this one would start with these matches against Real Madrid. We’ll be at 100 per cent on the August 14," Adriano said on the club's official website.
The former Sevilla defender then explained his decision to return to Barcelona earlier than he was due after taking part in the Copa America this summer.
"I came back the club because I didn’t play any games at the Copa America. The team has to come first. I have benefited from the work I did for the national team, even though I didn’t get picked for any matches. My greatest desire now is to be at the boss’ command as soon as possible," he added.
Barcelona travel to Madrid for the first leg of the Spanish Supercopa on August 14 and play host to their rivals for the return three days later.
