Inter chief Thohir denies London trip is for Torres talks

The Serie A club have confirmed that they are monitoring the Spaniard, while Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says that one striker is likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer
Inter president Erick Thohir has denied that his latest trip to London is to hold talks with Chelsea over a deal for Fernando Torres.

Inter director Piero Ausilio has revealed that the Serie A side are "following" the Spaniard, while reports in Italy suggest that a loan move is the most viable option for the club.

"Am I going to London to speak for Torres? No, no, I'll go there for other meetings," Thohir told Calciomercato.

As reported by Goal, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have agreed a £35 million deal for Diego Costa.

Jose Mourinho reiterated on Friday that he will bolster his attacking options during the transfer window this summer and admitted that one forward is likely to leave Stamford Bridge.

"A striker is something we are speaking about for a long time," said the Chelsea manager.

"Now, it's normal we bring in a striker, it's normal evolution of the team. One area we want to improve is striker position.

"We have three strikers at this moment. Normally one is coming, one is going. That is normal and logical."
