thumbnail Hello,

The two youngsters have expressed their delight after making their first professional appearance for the Nerazzurri in the Europa League on Thursday

Inter teenagers Isaac Donkor and Marco Benassi said they were thrilled to make their debuts for the club, despite going down 3-0 to Rubin Kazan.

The Nerazzurri had already qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League prior to Thursday's game, with Andrea Stramaccioni taking the opportunity to rest his key men and cast his eye over several young talents.

"I'm really happy, especially for all the people who care about me," Donkor told the club's official website.

"Coming on tonight was amazing, I feel so excited but also sad about the goals we conceded. It could have been better. The coach asked me and [Luca] Garritano to warm up and then he decided to bring me on.

"Playing alongside these great players was an unforgettable experience."

Benassi also expressed his disappointment with the result, but thanked his coach for a night he will never forget.

"It is a shame about the result," he added. "We were also disappointed because we conceded a goal in our best spell.

"The coach wanted us to play high up the pitch but at the beginning I was sitting too deep and that allowed the opposition to come at us. But then I realised what I had to do and I grew in confidence.

"I can only thank Stramaccioni, he even congratulated me at the end. But as I said, we're disappointed about the result."

Inter return to Serie A action on Monday when they travel to Parma.
