Robinho ruled out of AC Milan-Lazio clash

The Brazil attacker has picked up a knock and is unable to make the trip to the Serie A high-flyers, whilst Christian Abbiati also missed training
AC Milan striker Robinho will miss the match against Lazio on Saturday after his club revealed in an official statement that he has suffered an injury to his right thigh.

The Brazil international will undergo further tests in 10 days' time but is definitely ruled out of the game in the Italian capital against the team that currently sit third in the Serie A table.

The former Manchester City forward has been restricted to mainly substitute appearances for Massimiliano Allegri's struggling side this season, but this news will still be a blow to the San Siro outfit after the coach revealed this week that he felt the 28-year-old would be crucial to the Rossoneri's chances this season.

As well as Robinho, goalkeeper Christian Abbiati also missed Tuesday's training session with a chest infection, though this is less likely to see him miss the weekend's clash.
