Andrea Barzagli has joined Juventus on a two-and-a-half-year deal from Wolfsburg, the Italian club confirmed in a statement on Thursday.
The 29-year-old World Cup 2006 winner was in Turin for his medical on Wednesday, and Juventus have now confirmed the deal has gone through officially.
A statement on their official website reads: "Andrea Barzagli is Bianconero.
"Andrea Barzagli is officially a Juventus player. The defender, arriving from Wolfsburg, has signed a contract that will tie him to Juventus until June 30, 2013.
"The German club will receive €300,000 (£258,000), plus bonuses tied to results which could take the fee to a maximum €600,000 (£517,000).
"Barzagli had his first training session at Vinovo this morning, but he is not part of the squad to face Roma in the Coppa Italia, but he should be available for the next game against Udinese on Sunday at the Olimpico."
