Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik, who is reported target of Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti, has indicated he intends to remain with the club and fulfil his dream of featuring in the Champions League with the Serie A side.
Walter Mazzarri's side have been flying high this season and are currently in second place in the Serie A standings.
"The Champions League is a dream for now, but if we continue like this then it can become a reality," he explained, according to napolicalcio.net.
"In the [Italian] league you can no longer discount anyone. Napoli is not up there by accident.
"Only AC Milan are ahead of us, it's proof that Napoli have been doing their best and are growing step-by-step. It's to the credit of the club, here there is a serious project, organisation, and intelligent operations on the market."
One of the club's interested in Hamsik is Inter, confirmed by their CEO Ernesto Paolillo, and the two teams clash on Thursday evening at San Siro.
"They are the defending champions and also have two matches in hand," said the 23-year-old.
Hamsik is considered one of Serie A's growing talents and highlighted some of the players that have influenced his playing style over the years.
"I first imitated [Pavel] Nedved, I now have models like [Steven] Gerrard and [Frank] Lampard," he revealed.
