Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf has revealed his joy after winning the Derby della Madonnina against cross-town rivals Inter, but said it is not his prime objective this season.
Seedorf has set his sights on winning the Scudetto, and says it is far more important to win the league than the Derby.
"At the start of the season, I said that we needed time to get to know everyone from the players and the coach," the midfielder told Sky Sport post-match. "When the results start to come your way, the confidence rises and we start to play better.
"We can only say that Milan are stronger than Inter at the end of the season. It is important to win the league, and not to determine who is stronger between the two sides after the Derby."
The win takes Milan back to the top of the ladder, a point clear of Lazio, and six points ahead of Inter.
