Marco Reus is one of the best players I've ever trained, says Borussia Monchengladbach coach Lucien Favre

The Bayern Munich target has received glowing praise from his boss after his double against Hertha Berlin saw the club rise to fourth in the table
Borussia Monchengladbach coach Lucien Favre has lauded Marco Reus' talent, telling Bild that the 22-year-old is one of the best players he has ever worked with.

Reus has spearheaded the side's meteoric rise to fourth in the Bundesliga table, netting seven goals in his 12 Bundesliga matches this season.

His performances have led to speculation that Bayern Munich are interested in securing his signature, and Favre is in no doubt that his star asset can perform at the highest level.

"Reus is definitely one of the best players I've ever trained. He has incredible skills, but is only 22 years old. There are still many things he needs to learn."

Germany coach Joachim Low has also taken time to talk about Reus, telling Express of the struggle he went through before earning his first cap.

"Marco has suffered greatly; despite being called up several times, he could not join the national team. He was very desperate.

"But he has overcome this hurdle and has played in two games. He will play [in friendlies against Ukraine and the Netherlands]."

Borussia Monchengladbach will host Werder Bremen in their first game after the international break.
