Manuel Neuer is continually being linked with a move away from the Champions League hopefuls, but chairman Clemens Toennies has made it clear that Schalke are determined to hold on to the Germany international.
"We obviously can't tie him down to prevent him from leaving, but Manuel's feeling very well at Schalke. He's a real Schalke man and the fans are always full of support in an attempt to repay him for everything he's doing for the club," said Toennies to Welt am Sonntag.
"We have a great relationship and everybody at the club wants him to stay. I really think we have a good chance of keeping him at the club. We will make him a great offer."
Clubs such as Manchester United and Bayern Munich are keen on signing the 25-year-old Neuer, but the goalkeeper won't be available on the cheap.
"Manuel is worth more than £26.5 million and he will only become more valuable."
