It's ‘pretty much impossible’ that Mark van Bommel will leave Bayern Munich for PSV - sporting director Marcel Brands

Dutchman has also been linked with Tottenham and AC Milan
Experienced Bayern Munich midfielder Mark van Bommel revealed on Thursday that Eredivisie table toppers PSV are among a host of teams that want to sign him, but the club's sporting director Marcel Brands doesn't expect the player to move to Eindhoven.

The 33-year-old skipper's current contract with the Bavarians runs until the end of the season and FC Hollywood are not in a rush to offer the Netherlands international a new deal.

Therefore, Van Bommel is considering his options and he could very well be on the move in the January transfer window.

"Obviously, Mark is always welcome at PSV. However, it seems to be pretty much impossible that he will join us any time soon," Brands was quoted as saying by De Telegraaf.

Aside from PSV, Van Bommel has also been linked with clubs such as Wolfsburg and Tottenham. Serie A giants AC Milan appear to be sitting in pole position to lure Van Bommel away from his current club, though.
