Pastore: Cantona's wrong, Messi & Ronaldo are better than me

The Argentine has laughed off suggestions from the Frenchman he is the best in the world as he feels he is not on par with the illustrious La Liga duo just yet

Paris Saint-Germain star Javier Pastore does not see himself as the best player in the world, stressing Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi are on another level.

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona boldly stated earlier this month that the Argentine is the best player around in the game, ignoring both last year's Ballon d'Or winner and the Barcelona forward.

The Frenchman's praise was well received by Pastore, but the 25-year-old does not believe he should be considered at the same level as the Real Madrid man and his compatriot just yet.

"Cantona has his opinion and I thank him for his praise," he told reporters. "However, I don't share his view. I don't compare myself with the best.

"Cantona likes good football and goals, but I think Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are incredible players."

Pastore - who has a contract with PSG until June 2016 - has been a key figure for the reigning French champions in 2014-15, scoring five goals in 28 Ligue 1 appearances.
