Ancelotti: Uefa not critical of Paris Saint-Germain transfer policy

The Italian coach has denied that European football's governing body have been critical of his side's summer spending spree

Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has denied that Uefa are against the French club's extravagant transfer policy.

It comes only a week after the president of European football's governing body, Michel Platini, sent out a warning to all clubs that there will be problems for anyone who fails to comply with financial fair play rules.

“I think that Uefa wants to have control [on expenses] of all clubs in Europe,” said the PSG coach, after spending vast sums of money on a host of marquee names over the summer.

According to Ancelotti, the issue of financial fair play was not discussed by Platini at a meeting of major European club coaches in Nyon, which he attended.

“There was a technical meeting and I was comfortable,” he added.
