Joe Cole scored his first goal for Lille since joining on loan from Liverpool in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Lorient.
The England international gave the Ligue 1 champions the lead in style with a stunning strike from 25 yards out in the first half, before being replaced in the 88th minute.
But Lorient, who rarely threatened the hosts throughout the game, grabbed a shock equaliser in the last minute through substitute Kevin Monnet-Paquet.
Cole becomes the first Englishman to score a goal in Ligue 1 since Chris Waddle for Marseille in March 1992.
The former Chelsea and West Ham midfielder had been linked with a number of clubs after being deemed surplus to requirements by Kenny Dalglish at Anfield, and sealed a shock season-long loan move to the French side on the final day of the summer transfer window.
