Rangers manager Walter Smith saw his side storm to a comfortable but impressive victory over Dundee United which allowed them to leapfrog Celtic at the top of the SPL table for the time being.
Kenny Miller scored twice during the game with Lee McCulloch also on the scoresheet along with a Scott Dillon own goal.
Speaking after the game, Smith told BBC Sport:“We started the game and were excellent in the first 20 minutes or so.
“We’re delighted to get a win after a tough midweek match."
When asked about recent signings Nikica Jelavic and Vladimir Weiss, Smith stated:“They’ve brought something different to us. Vladimir [Weiss] has given us a little bit of something we haven’t had something for a few years. Nikica [Jelevic] is just settling in but showed some really good touches today."
When questioned as to whether he felt this was his side's best performance of the campaign so far, Smith agreed:“Yes, that’s the best performance we’ve had all season. We’ve had decent spells in games but we were imposing ourselves on them today and dominated the vast majority of the second half of the match.”
