TEAM NEWS: Terry & Torres return for Chelsea in Steaua crunch clash

The Blues skipper has found regular action tough to come by due to an ongoing knee problem in recent weeks but will line up with his side needing to overturn a first-leg deficit

John Terry returns to Chelsea's starting XI for their Europa League last-16 second-leg clash with Steaua Bucharest.

The Blues are 1-0 down on aggregate following the first leg and manager Rafa Benitez has responded by selecting a strong line-up, despite an impending fixture pile-up at Stamford Bridge.

Fernando Torres is brought back into the attack with Demba Ba ineligible to play in the competition, with the Spaniard to be supported by Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Oscar.

John Obi Mikel starts in midfield after an impressive display off the bench against Manchester United on Sunday, Frank Lamaprd dropping to the substitutes' bench.

The visitors make no changes from their side that snatched a first-leg lead in Romania thanks to Raul Rucescu's late effort.

Chelsea starting XI: Cech; Azpilicueta, Luiz, Terry, Cole; Ramires, Mikel; Hazard, Mata, Oscar; Torres
Subs: Turnbull, Ferreira, Cahill, Bertrand, Lampard, Benayoun, Moses

Steaua starting XI: Tatarusanu; Latovlevici, Chiriches, Szukala, Rapa; Pintilii, Chipciu; Bourceanu, Tanase, Popa; Rusescu
Subs: Stanca, Gardos, Filip, Prepelita, Iancu, Leandro Tatu, Adi Sobrinho
