Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo hopes to avoid Barcelona in Champions League quarter-finals: 'They are the strongest team in the tournament'

Portuguese ace hoping for Manchester United rematch
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he does not want to lock horns with Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Spanish giants advanced to the last eight of the competition for the first time in seven years and the 26-year-old revealed he would much rather face his old club Manchester United or Raul's Schalke side instead of the current Primera Division champions.

"We're through to the quarter-finals and we're all very happy," the Portugal international said to the Spanish press.

"I would prefer to meet United or Raul in the next round but not Barca.

"I don't want to face Barca because they are the strongest team in the tournament. It's fine if we have to, as anything can happen in a knock-out tie.
