Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil says that his side expertly capitalised upon Manchester United's mistakes as they reached the FA Cup semi-finals on Monday.
The Gunners overcame nine years of failure at Old Trafford to emerge 2-1 victors, with Danny Welbeck scoring the deciding goal, and Ozil is delighted to have proved the pre-match fears wrong.
The Germany international pointed to his side's efforts when out of possession as a key factor in their win.
He told Goal: "We weren't given much of a chance, if you believe the statistics of previous matches against United, but with a passionate team performance, we are now going to Wembley.
"United offered us mistakes and we exploited them well. We concentrated on our work off the ball and followed the manager's gameplan.
"I look forward to the semi-finals at Wembley and, of course, [hope to] return there in May [for the final]."
