Norwegian striker joins returns to England on a free transfer
Former Tottenham striker Steffen Iversen has completed a move to Championship side Crystal Palace and marked the occasion by netting the only goal in a victory over Preston North End.

The Eagles landed the 34-year-old Norwegian international hitman - who has scored 19 times in 73 appearances for his country - on a free transfer from Rosenborg with a contract lasting until the end of the season, according to the club's official website.

The Norway international started his professional career at Rosenborg before moving to Spurs for £2.5million in 1996.

He spent six seasons at White Hart Lane making 112 league appearances netting 36 goals, and enjoyed half a season on loan at Wolves making 14 appearances and scoring four times.
