Roberto Mancini's side won the game 1-0 thanks to a first-half strike from Carlos Tevez to close the gap on Premier League leaders Manchester United back to 12 points.
But after the game Silva said the players were thinking of Rodwell after yet another setback in his fledgling career.
"Yes, we are very upset for him," he told the club's official website.
"He's been injured most of the season, he was back in the games, he was back in the team. He'll have to get back and build his career again, it's not nice."

In the end it was a narrow win for the defending champions at Villa Park despite creating plenty of chances, but the three points are all that matters according to the Spain international.
"We created a lot of chances and scored only one. Sometimes we create less and score more goals. What's important is that we won the game," he added.
The former Valencia man praised the performances of Kolo Toure and Matija Nastasic who have excelled recently in the absence of Vincent Kompany.
"It's very important to us that he [Toure] is back to his best," he continued.
"He [Nastasic] is learning very, very quick, that is good for him and also very good for us."
